We are baseball fans, plain and simple.
Back in 1989, we decided to take a road trip out to Boston and see a game at Fenway Park, something we’d both always wanted to do. During the planning stages, the trip grew to include stops for ball games in Baltimore, Philadelphia, and Detroit, as well as the Hall of Fame in Cooperstown. We had so much fun, we decided to take another Baseball Trip the next year… and we’ve been doing it every year since! We've seen Baseball together in over 200 venues across 47 states.
What we're trying to do here is to convey some of the excitement we feel about baseball, and the thrill of traveling from town to town seeing games, never knowing exactly what we'll find at the next stop. We hope that this record of our experiences on the road will amuse, entertain, and perhaps even inspire you to take a trip of your own.
What we're not trying to do is be an accurate reference guide of any kind. Stadium names and leagues are indicative of the time we visited any given city. New parks are being built all the time, and Minor League teams have been known to change their names, their city, and even their league. We haven't even bothered to include major-league affiliations of minor-league teams. These are constantly changing, and it's not even worth keeping track of.
So don't be a nit-picker. Enjoy our site. And if we make you want to visit a particular destination, well, we're flattered; but please, check it out on your own first!
This site (like the trips themselves) is a work in progress. We welcome your comments and suggestions at [email protected]. Please come back often to see what's new!

Ron Lind
Date of Birth: August 13, 1962
Hi, my name is Ron Lind. I was born, raised, and had always lived in various Chicago suburbs before moving to my Wisconsin farm in 2007. My mother was a die hard Cubs fan, and my father was a die hard White Sox fan. Although I bleed a little Cubbie blue (every year!), I am a true fan of the game of Baseball. Whether I view the game from the rickety grandstands in Charleston, WV., or sit in a modern palace such as Oriole Park, the game itself always echoes the essence of life itself. The life whose daily problems and worries I leave at the ballpark entrance as I walk in.
Of course, if it were not for the exceptional understanding of my lovely wife Diane, it would be impossible to achieve the yearly 10 day long Baseball Trips that Scott and I make. Not to mention going to a plethora of baseball games after work and on weekends!
As Harry Caray always said..."You can't beat fun at the old ballpark!"

Date of Birth: July 17, 1963
As a kid, I remember rushing home from school in the springtime to catch the last few innings of the Cubs games on WGN-TV. Seeing the not-quite-green-yet ivy on the Wrigley Field walls and hearing Jack "Hey Hey!" Brickhouse calling the plays meant Summer Vacation was surely just around the corner. What a great feeling!
Of course, now that I've grown up, I no longer have the luxury of a 3-month vacation. But there's still something about a Baseball game that makes me feel like that little kid again. For a few hours, nothing in the world matters except what's between the white lines. Whatever your worries in life, they aren't allowed inside the stadium walls.
So it's only natural that I'd use one of my precious vacation weeks each year for a chance to see as many of the country's diamonds as I can. I'm just thankful that I have a great friend like Ron to go with, and a wonderful, loving wife who doesn't mind that I do. Thanks, Deb!
