Scott McLean

Date of Birth: July 17, 1963

As a kid, I remember rushing home from school in the springtime to catch the last few innings of the Cubs games on WGN-TV. Seeing the not-quite-green-yet ivy on the Wrigley Field walls and hearing Jack "Hey Hey!" Brickhouse calling the plays meant Summer Vacation was surely just around the corner. What a great feeling!

Of course, now that I've grown up, I no longer have the luxury of a 3-month vacation. But there's still something about a Baseball game that makes me feel like that little kid again. For a few hours, nothing in the world matters except what's between the white lines. Whatever your worries in life, they aren't allowed inside the stadium walls.

So it's only natural that I'd use one of my precious vacation weeks each year for a chance to see as many of the country's diamonds as I can. I'm just thankful that I have a great friend like Ron to go with, and a wonderful, loving wife who doesn't mind that I do. Thanks, Deb!
